The company do not monitor the male/female ratio in a group or segregate clients, who are typically 35+ into age brackets.
The majority of tours operate on a half-board basis and include several excursions, group activities, drinks and dinner parties, yet not so much that customers do not have time to enjoy their own space when the mood suits. If travelling from Heathrow and Gatwick, there is a nice option where customers can get to know their fellow travellers over dinner at an airport hotel the night before they jet off. Ocean Village, the cruise for people who don’t do cruises, burst onto the scene in May 2003. A brand new take on Mediterranean and Caribbean holidays at sea, the company was the first to combine dress-down informality and 24/7 dining with calls at six destinations a week where options include everything from mountain biking, jeep safaris and river rafting to wine tasting and whale-watching.
The Holiday Style
Ocean Village is for those who love to explore new places but who don’t want the grand traditions of conventional cruising. It’s for 30-50 something’s who like to go flat out at sports and activity one minute and flat out by the pool the next. Easy going and informal in style, dressing down not up is what Ocean Village is all about. Ocean Village operates Caribbean fly-cruises from Barbados in the winter and Mediterranean fly-cruises from both Majorca and Crete throughout the summer. In the Caribbean, cruises are for 14 nights. In the Med cruises are for 7 or 14 nights and for Summer 2010 are 9, 12, 16 & 19 night itineraries in the Central Med. In October 2009 we began the phasing out of the Ocean Village Holiday brand when Ocean Village 2 left the fleet to join sister brand P&O Australia and the original Ocean Village will join her down under at the end of 2010. Despite the phasing out demand remains high with loyal customers and newcomers alike wanting to experience the Ocean Village brand during its farewell season.
